Now I am totally aware that I can only play games on a mid range settings which is ok as I don't have the budget to go higher. Now if I could either take 8GB ram with 1G Vram VS 4GB ram with 2GB VRam.Which one is better. Since you said that the minimum is 8GB But I think for that 2GB would aslo be the min Vram. I was basically asking on a Budget constraint What would be better at the moment. DDR3 has come down in price a lot, and the market shifts to DDR4 it should continue to get cheaper. All that said, if you're going to dump cash into something expecting to play a higher end game - spend it on your video card. So the answer I'd say is probably.both? Depending on what games you want to play in the foreseeable future you might consider a lower end card for now, or even a higher powered last-generation card if you don't have plans to run Windows 10 and DirectX 12 games any time soon. 1080P for future games will likely be using at least 3, 4 probably wouldn't hurt. As far as video RAM, most midranged cards have 3-6GBs now. Most of my systems have 8GB of RAM - I wouldn't build a gaming system with less these days. Newer titles are already recommending 8GB of system RAM and recommending up to 4GB of video ram.
